SO MUCH HAPPENED THIS WEEKEND...
So we closed on our house and did our final walkthrough on Friday afternoon, we were done by 4 and on the road to St. George by 4:30. We were excited to get away from the cold and to a place where we could wear our shorts and T-shirts (although I didn't, but Richard did).
On the way down I talked to my dad and after talking to him a while he asked if I had talked to mom. When I said no, he said "oh, Anita passed away this morning". My aunt, who is in her mid to late 50's passed away from a massive heart attack and she could not be revived. She was an amazing woman and there was no problems that would have warned my uncle or their children of this fatal attack. Anita, we love you!
So, St. George was full of mixed emotions, I was having a hard time with all of that and conference just stirred lots of other feelings...good of course! Jerilynn put together a bridal shower for me, and that was lots of fun. I really enjoyed that, but as she was blessing the food she started to cry. I am excited that we get to be sisters! She is spectacular.
We, Richard and I, had an eventful weekend. One of happy memories and sad news...being excited and getting ready for the wedding and also mourning the loss of a beloved aunt.
The funeral is on Wednesday and it will be a good reunion for cousins and family to remember a cherished member of the family.
