So we went to Idaho...and it was great fun. On Thursday night Richard and I arrived in Idaho and we stayed at the other grandma's house. My aunt Gwen was there and so we had a fun night just talking, Richard watched some of the news with grandpa. My parents were driving up from Cali and wouldn't be in until 5 in the morning. So we went to bed...my upstairs next to grandma and grandpa and Richard downstairs next to Auntie Gwen.
Friday morning my family got up and went skiing and Richard and I met them up there and hung with them for a little bit. They came home and we all got ready, and that night we had a pizza party with the Wilson family that was at grandma's already. We caught up on everything and Richard was able to meet everyone and their grandma...literally! :)
He finally got through the crowd and I introduced him to Grandma and boy howdy she liked him. She was excited to meet him after a long time waiting.
Saturday was a fun day, we got to help grandpa burn trash which is what they do in the outskirts of Burley...farmland...and I am sure they do it everywhere. It was fun. We smelled like campfire. We had grandma's open house for her birthday from 12-4 that day, and all the family was there, plus lots of friends of hers came as well. Even my other grandparents came to say hi.
Then we had a family dinner at 6. We were able to give a tribute to grandma and how amazing we thought she was. There were quite a few tear jerkers. Richard even got up and gave a tribute starting with..."I haven't even known grandma 24 hours..." it was great though! Then we sang to her, she opened presents and we had cake. It couldn't have been much better than that. We played games and listened to music. We had a real party, for a 90 year old woman!
Idaho was a blast.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA! WE LOVE YOU!
