So, many things have been going on with us, and we decided we needed to find a few places to save money. So we went to Wal-Mart and bought a haircutting set! Yes, I am going to learn how to cut Richard's hair.
Now, just so you know, we started out and Richard said he promised he wouldn't get mad if the whole thing turned out to be a disaster (which I was kind of expecting). But I don't think he was ready for what really happened. Because no matter what he says, one thing he is very particular about is his hair. It has to be done a certain way, "...cut this length on the bottom, this length on the top, then you have to fade it. but the front needs to be this much longer than the back, oh and don't take the fade too high or it makes my face look wierd..."!
So, to say the least, I was a little stressed to do it, but went for it anyway.
Here are some
BEFORE pictures. (actually, I had already shaved the bottom part of his head, so this is before I started cutting the top)

And here are some
AFTER pictures

So I think the back looks pretty good

The front is alright, but just wait...

I did the best on the right side, as far as shaving and fading and making it all look even, I guess it is because I am left handed

And here is the left side, the fading wasn't quite as good

And here is a close up of my
HUGE folly.
OOPS. Got a little too close with the shaving part here.
I know Richard was a little peeved, it was worse than he thought, but he said he could wear a hat.
Richard made sure I didn't feel too bad, he reassured me that it was okay, and he could just wear a hat (except when he goes to church).
He gave me a rating of a 4...he said it would have been a 6 if I hadn't taken a big chunk out of the side of his head. oh well, next time...with a 4, all I can do is improve right?
