honeymooning...and everything after!!!

So we went on our honeymoon to San Diego, not far from my house, and where we got married. But it was fantastic. We got to go to Sea World, we swam in the ocean, took long walks on the beach, and witnessed a sunset over the water. Beautiful. Besides that we didn't do much outside of the hotel. We staying in the Holiday Inn Express...if you need a decent place to stay that won't cost you an arm and a leg...that is a good place to go.
Like Jess pointed out to me, being on your honeymoon is so surreal...everything doesn't seem like it is really happening. It isn't until you come back and start doing your everyday stuff that you realize that you really are married, you have a spouse and you actually have to be REALLY responsible. Ahhh!!!
We were able to come back and spend my sisters 20th birthday with my family on Tuesday (April 29th) before coming back to Utah on Wednesday. That was a blast. Just being with my family is one of my favorite things. When we left Cali on Wednesday, at 8 in the morning it was 60 degrees. And when we arrived in Spanish Fork later that evening it was 40 degrees. How do you figure that? Oh man! We were not happy.

But life goes on! We are happy to be back and we are trying to organize our beautiful home so that it actually looks beautiful. hehehe! There are still things ALL OVER! We just need to organize it all. We have all of our gifts...that we still need to write thank you notes for...and we have all of our stuff. And not until recently did we realize that we don't have all that much storage space. So...I will be going through all my stuff and making a trip to D.I. Oh how I love that place!!!

And last night, for our FHE activity, we made a list of things we needed and spent 1 hour and 30 minutes at Wal-Mart (the one in Springville, we are not familiar with it), finding everything we needed. After spending more than we really wanted to, we came home and put it all away. And let me tell you. It did not look like that much food, it definitely did not look like enough to make up for how much we spend. Sheesh! Talk about reality check! Ha!

The first grocery trip is definitely the worst. Aaron and I decided that we are going to supply our children with the basics like flour, sugar, all the dry stuff, and then some for the fridge, like ketchup and so on. That will be their wedding gift!
