Family Home Evening

So for FHE last night we decided to assemble some things that we have bought. The two things we chose to assemble were our BBQ and the entertainment center for the TV and such. I was given the task to assemble the E.C. and to be honest I have never done anything like that (so handy and stuff) by myself before. But I didn't complain and I decided I was going to do it and it was going to look mighty good.

By the time we came home from running errands together I was ready to buckle down and get it done. So we ate dinner and sat around for a minute...let the Pig do his lap sitting for a while (we were gone all day, he missed us). Then we got down to work. Richard assembled the BBQ in the kitchen area, right by the sliding glass door to the back yard (as small as it is, it is still there). And I was assembling my E.C. right in the front room where we would be using it.

It was quite fun. We kept updating each other on where we were at, which step we were on. And of course he finished before me. But i think my project was harder. I only had the doors to put on, and the shelves to put in, when he was done. I got frustrated with putting one of the doors on so Richard did the two doors for me, but besides that, I did it all on my own! I am so proud of myself...i feel like i can do anything! :)
