This is Richard checking in with you. This past year I became Mr. Mom. I started school and during the week I watch three children whose combined age is 7, yep. . . you guessed it, I’m an accounting major! The kids that I watch belong to Allysa and I, (William) and my cousin Cheryl, (Avery and Adyson). Avery is four years old, and Addy is two. . . William, well, we’ll let him tell you all about himself later in this letter. I love the kids, and I have become very proficient at making Ramen, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. If you want one just let me know, but if you’re an adult with a job I will charge you.
This is Allysa checking in with you. I have been working, A LOT. But I love it. Luckily in April I got a job working as a Recreation Therapist that turned into a full time job in June. I got to quit my other jobs including a GREAT job at Kmart (haha). Although, just a secret between you and me, I am still working at Kmart every other weekend in the cash office. I love my full time job, it is challenging, just the way I like it. And I love the people I work with, which is a blessing. I love spending time with my husband and my son, and watching him grow (my son, not my husband J ). I am grateful for the blessings we have received and all that we learned while struggling to get back on our feet.
This is William checking in. a goo be doo be moomie AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Dink’em mama, I-E-YOO! I-E-Yoo Mo! I yuv daddy, I yuv yo mama. Uggs, queeze! This is Richard, I will translate for William. He is extremely happy, ALL THE TIME! We couldn’t have asked for a better son. He loves to scream at the top of his lungs, and he loves his Mama and Daddy. And all the other family/friends that he gets to see regularly enough to remember them. He says I-E-You for I love you, and if you say it to him first he will tell you he loves you more. He gives the best hugs and squeezes, and always puckers up really good for a kiss. And he just recently started kissing people on their cheeks. And he can identify many body parts; eyes, nose, mouth, ears, head, hair, shoulders, fingers, toes, chin, and is just learning about his tummy. In February William will be two years old, but he’s already bigger than most of the three year olds in our ward. He’s going to be a football player, and hopefully a rich one. J His signing bonus is already set aside as his parents pay for supporting him!
Our Goal for this next year: Get our Christmas card out before Christmas next year. You’re lucky you are even getting something this year. We were so busy with work (I was in charge of Christmas for the kids at work, fun!), with Breann’s wedding, and just running around with an-almost-2 year old. We love our life, and love living in Utah for the time being. As soon as Richard is done with school we hope to move to a warmer place (since that is where we both originate from). We pray your holidays have been blessed and the New Year will bring you happiness.
We love you! Richard, Allysa and William Beers.
