a tribute to my mom and dad

My mom and dad started out just like the rest of us. Dating and falling in love.
(1982)

Then they were engaged and later married
(1983)

(1984)

Then their family officially started...
(1985)

(1986)

(1988)

(1990)

(1992)

(1994)

(1996)

(2000)

(2003)

(2006)

(2007)

(2008)

And now my parents have built a beautiful family! (I have updated pictures of their one grandchild to come later). It was their wedding anniversary on the 23rd of June, and they have been married 27 years! That is great. I hope to have a relationship like my parents do and to raise my family in an environment like my parents raised me and my siblings. They have been a great example to me and I am grateful for all their love, and hard work. And for their devotion to each other, to their kids, and to their Savior. I am grateful for their love for our Heavenly Father as well, and their constant efforts to take us to church, go to the temple, and read scriptures and say prayers as a family. And most of all, their ongoing example to us kids and to everyone around them, of Christ-like love.
Thank you mom and dad for everything you are and everything you have done for me and my small little family. We love you!

Your hair in 1996 is the best! Will that ever make a comeback? Please tell me it will ;) Great tribute to your parents!

Seeing the old photos of your parents reminds me of when they came to visit us in St. Louis and they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Granted they were still newlyweds, but as a small child of 7 years I noticed the gooshiness of their relationship. They are great spouses, kids, siblings, parents, and aunt/uncles, etc...you get the idea.

Thank You Allysa for the great tribute. We truly do have a great family and we are so very grateful for that. We have been blessed with great kids. Those pictures of dad with long hair. Colby is taking his lead from his dad right now I think. Thank you for being so good at all this blogging stuff. It sure makes it fun to look at. Little William is absolutely the cutest thing in the world. Love you MOM!!
